Vishal Rajpal is a part-time lecturer in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Seattle.

Rajpal works as a senior software engineer at Amazon Ads, and previously held numerous software development positions at Amazon and around the tech world. He joined Khoury College in 2021 due to an interest in teaching and a desire to contribute to students’ success.

Rajpal frequently teaches the “Building Scalable Distributed Systems” course, a topic he finds challenging, fun, and ideal for motivating students to build highly scalable distributed systems. He also teaches “Large-Scale Data Processing.”
