Biography
Meica Magnani is an associate teaching professor at Northeastern University, holding joint appointments with the Khoury College of Computer Sciences and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her areas of teaching include ethics of computing technology, values in design, moral philosophy and environmental ethics.
Magnani earned her doctorate in philosophy from Stanford University and master’s in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before joining Northeastern in 2021, she was a postdoctoral fellow with Embedded EthiCS at Harvard University. In 2021, Magnani received the Harvard Certificate for Excellence in Teaching. Outside of teaching, she is passionate about nature, mountains, and trail running.
