Biography

Bruce Chhay is an adjunct professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences’ Seattle campus. Along with his role at Northeastern, he is an engineering leader at Meta. Previously, he was one of the early engineers on Google Cloud BigQuery, building a scalable ML cloud data warehouse. He also previously worked at Microsoft, building large-scale data analytics for Windows. He also spent time as co-founder of a startup. Chhay holds an undergraduate degree in computer engineering and an MBA from the University of Washington. He is a Seattle-area native and enjoys spending time with his family.
