Amin is a PhD student in the Information Assurance program at Northeastern University’s Khoury College of Computer Sciences, advised by Professor Engin Kirda. Amin’s research interests span a wide range of topics in systems security, focusing on operating systems, binary analysis, and malware and botnet detection. He is a member of Northeastern’s Secure Systems Laboratory (SecLab) located in 132 Nightingale Hall. Before joining Northeastern, Amin was a research assistant at the High Performance Computing Architectures and Networks (HPCAN) Laboratory, at Sharif University of Technology, located in Tehran, Iran.
So far, I am involved in multiple projects in systems security, collaborating with multiple research labs in the United States and Europe.
My research focus covers multiple areas of systems security, with a special focus in malware research, binary analysis, and web security.
I would like to design systems that can better identify new cyber-attacks in the world.
Real world security problems requires efficient and practical defense approaches. The most interesting part of my research is to analyze these problems and design applied solutions for them.
Analyzing cyber-attacks and designing efficient defense solutions to combat them.
