Biography
Jose Annunziato is an assistant teaching professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He currently works with students to make programming accessible by building and exploring tools for the casual programmer, such as those who want to create simple applications which do not require a dedicated software engineer.
Annunziato has ten years of experience with server side web development in the defense, telecommunications, and finance industries. He also has seven years of experience in front-end web development for content management, publishing, education, and healthcare. Prior to web development, Annunziato worked in electrical engineering for automated manufacturing for three years. He earned both his master’s and doctorate in computer science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
In his teaching, Annunziato dispels myths and stereotypes about technology by emphasizing the accessiblity of computer science. In the classroom, he shares his industry experience and teaches students how to create practical solutions to complex problems.
