Biography
Iuri DaSilva is an assistant director of IT infrastructure at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He received his bachelor’s in computer science from Northeastern. DaSilva’s work experience includes working at Dell Services as a Red Hat Certified Administrator and a Red Hat Certified Engineer. Prior to his current role at Khoury College, he also worked as a systems administrator at Harvard University, where he earned his Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Deployment and Systems Management.
DaSilva maintains and improves the Linux environment at Khoury College, including student lab machines, faculty machines, back-end infrastructure, and more. He enjoys troubleshooting and creating solutions that are robust yet low maintenance.
He believes that as the world progresses further into the digital age, security becomes ever more important. DaSilva enjoys working at Khoury College because he sees how the college is staying ahead of the curve, for example, by offering programs dedicated to information assurance.
